What is ClexusMUD?
ClexusMUD is a MUD Framework written for the Microsoft .NET platform, primarily in C#.

"Framework"?
ClexusMUD is a set of libraries and programs designed to cover the entire scope of mudding - servers, clients, and administration utilities. MUD administrators can either use the ClexusMUD Framework as-is to run their server, or they can use its open-ended design to expand upon it endlessly.

Why C# and .NET?
A viable MUD server has yet to be written and completed for the .NET platform. But that's not a real answer, is it? Many classic MUD developers, being attached to older languages like C, question, and even doubt, the reliability of the .NET languages. We at ClexusMUD, being open minded towards new technologies, are more than happy to try and prove those old geezers wrong.

The question is, presuming that .NET is capable of powering a full-featured, object-oriented, dependable MUD server, can we at ClexusMUD get it done, and before our friendly competitors overshadow us?
